According to the survey, nearly half (45%) of respondents reported difficulty obtaining accurate cost estimates before receiving care, and 63% were ultimately billed more than their initial estimate. Every respondent in this group—100%—stated that price transparency is crucial when selecting a healthcare provider and that they would definitely use a digital tool to estimate healthcare costs in real time before treatment. However, only 25% of patients in this category reported improved satisfaction with healthcare price transparency and prior authorization processes compared to late 2024.
