Giving Hands During the Holidays

This year we’re really getting into the holiday spirit at CMT – from cookie exchanges to virtual ugly sweater contests, but most importantly two localized giving campaigns for each of our offices. A few of our employees led the initiative by gathering information, contacting local charities, and encouraging participation across teams. Thanks to their enthusiastic leadership we were able to collect gifts for the selected charities.

In Florida, our new HR Manager Amy Goss guided the collection for Toys 4 Tots, saying “Every child deserves a little Christmas,” when asked why she recommended the Marine Corps Reserve charity. Thanks to her personal connections, she was able to deliver the toys directly to the collection center at a local news station. “Toys 4 Tots not only benefits children, but also has a positive impact on communities and businesses. Knowing that you’re helping others is very empowering and, in turn, can make you feel happier and more fulfilled,” Amy said, when discussing the experience with teammates. Lynda Bernard, one of our Directors of Operations, collected information on additional local charities for employees to contribute to, leading to several donations to Children’s Home Society of Florida, One Heart for Women and Children, and Give Kids the World Village.

Our main HQ in Virginia partnered again with the Montgomery County Holiday Giving Project (HGP) through Germantown HELP and “adopted” two families in need. Together employees collected gifts, personal items, and treats requested by the families for a total of 6 children, ranging in age from 9-17. Rachelle Galant, our VP of Marketing, expressed her satisfaction in being able to give back to the local community, “Being connected and donating back into the communities in which we live and work brings me a special joy. It feels like my own family has gotten a little bigger.” As with Florida, we also provided a list of additional charities for local and remote team members to contribute to, including Catherine’s House and the Falls Church Homeless Shelter.

We’re so thankful to have such an altruistic team and couldn’t be prouder of our inclusive and flourishing culture. From all of us at CMT Solutions, we wish you and your practice a wonderful holiday season! May it be filled with joy and peace. Thank you for all you do for patients.
